The Honda brand is well known for building high-quality vehicles that are also impressively fun to drive. It’s a unique combination of benefits that helps these models stand out from other used cars for sale in Denver. On the other hand, even Hondas are subject to depreciation, which can help you save thousands of dollars when compared to buying a similarly equipped new vehicle. In fact, new cars typically depreciate by 20% or more in the very first year after purchase. After five years of driving, you can expect the typical new car to have lost 60% of its value to depreciation and even more in many cases. And that money comes right off the top of the price tag for used cars, even if those pre-owned vehicles are still in top-notch condition.

Of course, buying a car also brings with it some ongoing ownership costs, but used Hondas can help with these as well. The biggest of these expenses is usually insurance, and pre-owned vehicles usually cost much less to insure than their newer counterparts.

Just remember that a low price doesn’t have to mean a low-quality car, at least not at CarFinders. We carefully select each vehicle before putting it up for sale so that we’re confident it can meet both our high standards and those of our buyers.

To get to the history of Honda, you actually have to start with Toyota. The former originally focused on building engine parts for the latter, with Toyota eventually buying out its supplier’s operations entirely. Soichiro Honda then used the money from that sale to fund his own engine-making company, which, in turn, began manufacturing motorcycles in 1949. It wasn’t until 1963 that Honda added four-wheel vehicles to its area of expertise, with the debut of a mini pickup for the Japanese market.

Just nine years later — right in time to meet the growing demand for more efficient small cars — the 1972 Honda Civic was introduced, and suddenly the company had a global hit on its hands. The Honda Accord solidified the brand’s standing when it was launched in 1976. In fact, Honda has sold more than 12 million Accords in the U.S. alone since that time. Honda also started building cars in this country in 1976, making the first major Japanese automaker to do so. The current Honda lineup continues to satisfy customers both globally and in Denver with its rewarding approach to driving.
